Faced with the proliferation of attacks in the Sahel, North, and North-Central regions, the respective governors of these regions have announced measures, reducing traffic in their regions.

In the North Central region, where attacks have driven thousands of people to flee their villages, motorcycles and tricycles with a cylinder capacity of 125 cc or more are prohibited from driving between 18:30 and 06:00. And this " in view of the security situation in constant degradation " can read in a statement from the governor.

In the Sahel region it is a 45-day curfew that is announced. It goes from 8 pm to 9 pm to 5 am depending on the province. Again, it is forbidden for two-wheeled vehicles and tricycles to circulate a rather that is to say, 18h and 5:30 in the provinces of Senou, Soum , Oudalan and Yagha.

In the northern region , the province of Lorum is under curfew from 18h to 6h more. Only ambulances will be able to circulate but provided they present a pass or a mission order.

This is not the first time that such measures have been announced since the beginning of the terrorist attacks, but this has clearly not reduced the threat of terrorism.

" These measures can be effective, " says a security source. " This could help to thwart future attacks or reduce the movement of armed groups, " but on one condition, he insists, " we give ourselves the means to ensure that they are respected ."
