Instead, the High Court sentenced the man to nine years in prison.

The 28-year-old is convicted of, among other things, ten cases of serious rape against children, eleven cases of rape against children and four cases of serious sexual abuse of children.

In the district court, the man was convicted of, among other things, gross rape against children on 41 occasions, but the court of appeals judges that some of these are instead regarded as rape against children, that is, not serious crime.

Changes the district court's judgment in parts

The 28-year-old was previously convicted of some 30 serious rapes against one of the children, but according to the Court's judgment, it is impossible to prove more than about 10 of the events took place before the defendant turned 15 years.

He is also acquitted of a couple of charges, including three cases of attempted child sexual assault, two cases of gross sexual abuse of children and one attempted child exploitation for sexual posing.
