At the talks, Putin congratulated the UAE authorities on the successful flight of the first astronaut Khazaa al-Mansouri to the International Space Station.
According to him, this became possible "thanks to our friendship with you and your efforts to promote this idea itself."
“We are ready to continue to provide the United Arab Emirates with the necessary assistance in the space industry, including such areas as satellite navigation and launching vehicles into space orbit,” he said.
Earlier, a fighter squadron flew as part of Putin's visit to Abu Dhabi.
