Second day of protest in Guinea this Tuesday, October 15 at the call of the FNDC which brings together the bulk of the opposition and civil society against a possible third term of President Alpha Conde. Relatively little violence in Conakry even if economic activity remained paralyzed at the moment when the government calls for dialogue.

Tuesday morning, the traffic resumed timidly on the main axes of Conakry, with the exception of the road The Prince, blocked at the roundabout Hamdallaye. A support station, which includes police, gendarmes and soldiers, was attacked in Cosa before being quickly taken over by the defense and security forces. There are some barricades erected. Tensions here and there, mainly in the suburbs where witnesses still speak of " real bullets ". Some shops have reopened even though the majority of shops have remained closed.

" It's no use shedding blood "

A young man reportedly died as a result of injuries received on Monday , which could bring the civilian toll to five. The government maintains its record of two deaths.

The Minister of Territorial Administration, General Boureima Condé reiterated the government's extended hand towards the opposition. " The door has never been closed, " he says, calling political actors to dialogue. " There is no point in shedding blood ," he said, " while words can find the solution ".
