Police were alerted about the crime at 9.20pm on Sunday evening. The police did not want to say what had happened but merely referred to it as a serious crime.
A villa was blocked off during the night and police technicians investigated the area, according to SVT's envoy at the scene.
Later in the night, police announced that it was a serious robbery.
- It's a rough robbery in a home. These are injuries but not life-threatening injuries, says Peter Frostlund, internal commander of the Kristianstad police to SVT.
In the locked villa lives a family. It is unclear if any of them were damaged during the robbery. The police also do not want to say if one or more people have been injured.
