Peskov commented on Surkov’s words about “Putinism”

As the representative of the Kremlin noted, he is not entirely impressed with the name “Putinism” and he does not know “what is political life hacking”.

“Therefore, I can’t judge. But at the same time, I probably agree with my colleague Surkov that, of course, it’s actually 20 years, during which Putin was also the president, and was the chairman of the government, these are very important years in the history of our country , and in the history of the development of the whole world, ”he said.

According to him, it is impossible "to belittle the role of Putin in these processes."

“Therefore, of course, the experience of Putin’s leadership, its methods, Putin’s effect both in terms of domestic affairs and international affairs, from the point of view, probably, of destroying such a monopolar hegemonism and a phased transition towards multipolarity and the growth of ideas of sovereignty - in this regard it’s hard to overestimate Putin’s contribution, ”he stressed.

As Peskov pointed out, in this case both scientists and political scientists “have a large area of ​​work” for assessments, analysis and study.

Journalists asked him a clarifying question whether Putin is guided by any ideology.

Answering him, Peskov said that Putin’s “exceptional pragmatism”, where everything is “aimed at developing the country, providing conditions for the development of Russian society and each Russian citizen separately” is his approach.

He recalled that the president himself repeatedly spoke about this, and nothing has changed in this regard.

Earlier, in one of the online publications, the heading “Putinism” was opened, and Surkov said that such a concept is a global political life hack, “a well-functioning method of rule”.

In February, an article by Surkov was published in which he spoke about the difference between the modern model of Russia and the western state model.

Then he noted that “Putin’s big political machine” is gaining momentum and is set for a long and interesting job.

In the Kremlin, commenting on the publication of the article, they indicated that the author’s point of view can cause controversy and discussion, and also added that it requires reflection.
