Kais Said became president of Tunisia with a majority of 72.71 percent of the votes cast Sunday, the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) held a press conference to announce the results on Monday.

Chairman of the Commission, Nabil Pfon, said in a press conference that Saeed received 72.71% of the vote and his rival businessman Nabil Al-Qarawi collected 27.29%.
