"The two presidents have planned to evoke this perspective on the occasion of a visit of Christmas Graët in Algeria, at the invitation of the president of the Algerian federation, during the first quarter of 2020," said the two bodies in a joint statement.
During this meeting between the two presidents of the federations, respectively world champion 2018 and champion of Africa 2019, "different perspectives of cooperation and technical exchanges between the two nations, in the four years to come" were mentioned.
Among the projects already announced, the organization of a tournament of less than 17 years "soon" in France, "with the participation of Algeria".
This meeting took place on the eve of the friendly between Algeria and Colombia, which will take place Tuesday (21:00) in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, near Lille.
Highly symbolic because of the history common to both countries, the only meeting France-Algeria took place in October 2001. The match was interrupted after the invasion of the field by Algerian fans while the score was 4-1 for France.

A few days before, the coach of the "Fennecs" Djamel Belmadi had already said favorable to the organization of this "match of prestige".
