Olivier Giroud is only three points behind Michel Platini, the second best scorer in the history of the Blues (41 goals), after registering Monday against Turkey his 38th goal in selection.

The 33-year-old world champion, very little used by Chelsea, scored a new goal against the Turks Monday at the Stade de France, just four minutes after coming into play (76th).

Giroud is the most prolific player in action, ahead of Antoine Griezmann (29 goals) and Karim Benzema (27 goals), the center-forward of Real Madrid who has not been called to the selection since 2015.

Against Turkey, the former striker of Montpellier and Arsenal honored his 95th selection.
