Right now, ground work is underway for 33 wind turbines in Björkvattnet in Ragunda municipality's northwestern part. The winds will be over 200 meters high. This is a great investment:

"It's over one billion, so it's a big investment," says Lars Blixt, who works with wind power establishments in Ragunda municipality.

Gives countryside money to affected villages

The project will also provide reimbursement to the countryside. A certain percentage is allocated to building funds. One of the wind farms here in the border areas between Jämtland and Västernorrland - Björkhöjden with 90 power plants - has been a lift for the villages:

- In Fullsjön, the collection room Gränsgården has been extensively refurbished and in Borgvattnet you have been given assistance to invest in the new gas station, says Lars Blixt.

In 2020, the wind farm in Björkvattnet is planned to be ready.
