- It is exciting and fun and I have made many new friends, says Linnéa Sandqvist, who is in grade nine in Emmaboda.

Since 2017, Blekinge Air Fleet has received prao students in grades eight and nine. The trial periods are two weeks in the fall and two in the spring.

Know more about the defense

Students can try the profession as a military at F 17 in Kallinge. They also learn more about how the Armed Forces are as a workplace.

- I've been thinking a lot about where to work in the future. I want to do something practical. That is why I wanted to test if this is something I would enjoy and I am interested in any profession in the military, soldier for example, says Linnéa Sandqvist.

Great interest

Pupils must submit a reason why they want praise for F 17 and the interest is great. More than 100 applications came to the 40 places in the autumn. This week was the first of two autumn rehearsals.

- They can try to be out in the field. They also get to look at our JAS plans. We also inform about the military duty. We think this is important because they can be our potential employees and that they get an insight into the Armed Forces at an early age. The students are tagged, it is a bit difficult to be without a mobile phone but otherwise it goes well, says Isabelle Engström, recruitment coordinator at Blekinge Air Fleet.
