According to P4 Blekinge, who was the first to report this, there are several different explanations for why the automatic alarm sounded so many times. These include dust, moisture and flies that have laid eggs in the smoke detectors.

Anders Kumlin, who is regional manager at the Swedish Fortifications Agency which owns the premises on F17, tells P4 Blekinge that it is not good with so many automatic alarms.

- It takes resources from alarms where it really burns, he says.

To reduce the number of automatic alarms, the Swedish Fortifications Agency must, among other things, replace some of the older smoke detectors.
