“I just saw President Trump, he approved and intends to sign an order giving the Ministry of Finance, with the agreement of himself and Secretary of State Pompeo, very significant new sanctions against anyone associated with the Turkish government,” Mnuchin said at a briefing .
According to him, these will be “primary and secondary sanctions”.
“The president is concerned about the military offensive and the potential risk to civilians and infrastructure, ethnic and religious minorities,” the minister said.
