Gonzalo Javier Díaz Tomasich, who is part of the More Country for Madrid candidacy headed by Íñigo Errejón for the 10-N general elections, receives two public salaries: on the one hand, he has a payroll as councilor for More Madrid with «partial dedication 50% »at the City Council of Collado Villalba and, on the other, he charges as an advisor on Economy, Employment, Commerce and Transportation at the Consistory of Coslada.

This second position of trust requires "exclusive dedication regime" in exchange for a gross annual compensation of 46,600 euros , according to the decree signed by the municipal government - a left-wing tripartite led by the PSOE -, to which EL MUNDO has had access. For exercising as a part-time mayor in Collado Villalba, he receives a gross of 18,000 euros per year .

Díaz Tomasich argues that the Law on Incompatibilities of Personnel in the Service of Public Administrations allows him to combine the two occupations and receive remuneration for both. "Working hours and schedules are compatible," Thursday was justified in a telephone conversation with this newspaper.

However, in the City of Coslada, after receiving the call from EL MUNDO to ask for the individual, they assured that "it will not continue" as eventual personnel . In the environment of the mayor, the socialist Ángel Viveros, pointed out that he will have to leave this position of trust either through the formula of resignation, termination or dismissal, because "although it was not incompatible it does not seem ethical."

In Más Madrid they said Thursday that they were unaware of this situation until this newspaper contacted the party and assured that "they have been required to give a solution."

Díaz Tomasich, who began his political career linked to Podemos , is now also a deputy candidate in the Congress of Deputies on the list of Errejón, where he occupies the 22nd position. In February 2019 he decided to leave the purple formation because he had not achieved « play the necessary keys in order to continue mobilizing the popular sectors, ”he explained in an article in El Plural .

Appointments

The only representative of Más Madrid in Collado Villalba, where the PP governs in coalition with Cs, collected his act of councilor in the Plenary session of the City Council after the May municipal elections. On July 22, the local Corporation agreed on the list of charges - and their corresponding remuneration - that were to be carried out under exclusive and partial dedication.

Among the latter was Gonzalo Javier Díaz Tomasich, who was assigned a salary of 18,000 euros per year for working at 50% of his time. Three days earlier, on July 19, he had been appointed advisor of Economy, Employment, Commerce and Transportation in Coslada, where Errejón's party holds precisely that portfolio.

In the two Madrid city councils they have confirmed that they kept both occupations until Thursday.

As explained in the Consistory of Collado Villalba, Díaz Tomasich attends the board of spokespersons held on Monday mornings and the ordinary plenary sessions on Thursday afternoons, in addition to the extraordinary ones. It also goes to all the information commissions, which are held the third week of the month in the morning, and to the Hiring Surveillance Commission, since it is the only representative of More Madrid in the municipality and cannot share these tasks with any partner .

In parallel, this diploma in Business Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid works exclusively as an advisor to the fourth deputy mayor and councilor for Economic Development, Employment and Commerce and Transportation of Coslada, Fernando Romero, also the only mayor of the party of Errejón in this town located in the Henares corridor. Among his previous occupations, he had been manager of the Municipal Institute of Móstoles Soil.
