According to the agency, in second place is Yakutia, where the incidence rate was 23 cases per 10 thousand adults. The Nenets Autonomous Okrug closes the top three (1 in 500 adults).

Every tenth new patient with alcoholism lives in the Perm region, Bashkiria, Tatarstan and the Penza region, the ministry said.

Moreover, in all regions of the Volga region, except the Penza region, the number of new patients is declining annually. There, over the year, it grew from 15 to 18 per 100 thousand people and became one of the highest in the country.

The material states that the total number of cases of alcoholism in the regions is not given in statistics.
