A collective wedding ceremony was held in Taiz at the expense of 60 grooms from the wounded Yemeni National Army, whose limbs were amputated in the battles with the Houthis in defense of the city, in recognition of their sacrifices for their city and homeland.

The wedding was attended by leaders of the local authority and the army, and witnessed large ceremonial manifestations roamed many streets of the city, before settling in a spacious space where the rest of the ceremony was held.

The grooms, carrying the flags of their country, received congratulations from the guests, the leaders of the local authority and the army amid a joyous festive atmosphere and to the melodies of music, and chanted slogans reflecting their loyalty to their homeland and their high patriotic spirit, with the participation of many citizens who threw roses at their parade and participated in the dance to celebrate the occasion.

Some of the Arab regions, which have known conflicts and wars, have been organizing mass weddings for their participants. Earlier in Baghdad, a mass wedding was held for 250 Hashd fighters who were then fighting the Islamic State.

As previously held in the city of Arbil in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, a wedding ceremony for sixty young men and women from displaced people in six Iraqi provinces, after the conditions of war forced them to flee and did not help material conditions to marry.
