British Prime Minister Boris Johnson wants an agreement before leaving the EU. But how it is still unclear.

On Thursday, Johnson and Ireland's Prime Minister Leo Varadkar met at a private lunch meeting in north-west England where they discussed the issue. The Irish Prime Minister has previously stated that he lacks clarity on the border issue for Ireland in the proposal put forward by Johnson.

In a joint statement, they say they both continue to believe that an agreement is in everyone's interest, writes the news agency AP. "They agreed that they could see a way to a possible agreement," announces the Prime Minister duo.
