The affected wolf was a puppy from the Erlareviret

In early September, police were alerted to an accident on County Road 885 in Flens Municipality. It was a wolf kid who had been hit by a car and died in the collision. In order to find out where the wolf was coming from, the County Administrative Board of Södermanland County sent the body for analysis, and now the test answers have come.

They showed that the puppy was a female born this year and that the parents are a wolf couple from Ärlareviret, an area between Eskilstuna, Flen, Strängnäs and Stjärnhov. The pair was discovered in March during the County Administrative Board's inventory of predators. Both come from the Sjundareviret, which extends across the county boundary between Sörmland and Stockholm, and are siblings.
