10 October 2019A case of alleged malpractice occurred at the "Jazzolino" hospital in Vibo Valentia. A 32-year-old woman from Cessaniti (VV), MG, lost the baby she was carrying after being sent home by doctors yesterday because there were no anesthesiologists for a caesarean section. The woman had gone to the hospital for the ritual check-up visit near the birth. The doctors had decided for cesarean section, excluding the need for hospitalization and sending her back home. This morning the complication, the return to the hospital where, after an urgent transfer to the delivery room, the death of the fetus was found. The woman's husband, after hurling himself against some of the hospital's furnishings, went to the police station in Vibo Valentia to file a complaint against the health workers who had been caring for his wife in order to clarify every aspect of the affair and ascertain any responsibility.
