The president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, announced on Wednesday that it will be the Parliament that gives an answer, based on "democracy, human rights and the right to self-determination" , to the sentence of 'procés', which has predicted that it will be a "torpedo against coexistence" in Catalonia.

In the session of control to the Catalan president, in the plenary of the Parliament, Torra has assured that, if there are convictions to the independentistas leaders processed, it will be necessary to respond "with firmness, serenity, responsibility, determination" and without leaving the "only way" possible, which is the "vote and word".

It will be the Parliament, he said, that responds to a sentence that may be "the most serious torpedo that can be against coexistence in Catalonia if it is not absolutory."

Torra has also recriminated state-level parties that use the "permanent threat" of a new application of article 155 of the Constitution in Catalonia.

This has been said in response to the intervention of the parliamentary spokesperson of ERC, Anna Caula, who has predicted that the sentence "will not be absolutory" but will be "revenge, hard" , so that the independence "scarming", and has encouraged the PSC to be "brave" and to be unmarked by a PSOE that "proposes only repression".

For his part, the first secretary of the PSC, Miquel Iceta, has urged Torra, in response to the reaction that may occur when the Supreme Court issues his sentence, guarantee the rights of both those who want to demonstrate and those who want to "go to work without participating in these protest activities.

Iceta has asked Torra that, instead of showing "coldness" towards the Mossos d'Esquadra, "express himself with greater forcefulness" in favor of his actions in guaranteeing the rights of all citizens.

The president of the PPC, Alejandro Fernández, has accused Torra of having affirmed in an interview that he is willing to "open Catalan prisons" if there are sentences to the leaders of the 'procés', an affirmation that the president has categorically denied having said.

Meanwhile, the deputy of Catalonia in Comú Podem Marta Ribas has asked the Government for greater involvement to avoid situations of possible dismissals in the Catalan industrial fabric in the face of the "second wave of the crisis" that seems to approach and has ensured that its formation "will battle for other than those below "who pay this time" the broken dishes
