According to him, road safety is determined by the competent departments that form the road infrastructure.
“This (the proposal. - RT ) will not affect traffic safety in any way, other factors will affect, first of all, the infrastructure of the roads ... It is necessary to separate roads among themselves, oncoming lanes, it is necessary to equip shoulders, parking lots, pedestrian crossings,” the specialist explained.
At the same time, he recalled that there are many provisions of traffic rules, the violation of which cannot be fixed by traditional methods of monitoring compliance with the rules.
“Absolutely all violations cannot be captured: the child is fastened or not, how can this be seen? Is there insurance in the car or not? There are a lot of such rules. There are especially important rules and violations that need to be fixed, ”Subbotin concluded.
Earlier, deputy of the Leningrad Oblast Legislative Assembly, Vladimir Petrov, proposed “introducing a system according to which participants in the movement for remuneration would inform the traffic police about the offending driver.”
