Paris - A thief seized the watch of a businessman with dual French-Japanese citizenship valued at around 800,000 euros ($ 878,000) as he smoked a cigarette in front of a hostel on the Champs-Elysées in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.

The French newspaper 20 minutes that the French anti-crime police tasked to search the circumstances of the incident and arrest the thief after he lost his mobile phone while committing theft.

A thief attacked the 30-year-old businessman around 9 pm on Monday, picking up his watch and then escaping without realizing that he lost his mobile phone during the incident, the newspaper said, quoting Le Parisien newspaper.

The Anti-Crime Police had received the report of the theft and verified the financial value of the stolen watch on two occasions after hearing the victim.
