The first abuse occurred in 2016, when the man with his family and the girl were at the High Chaparall amusement park. After that, several assaults must have taken place between autumn and winter 2016.
The man refuses a crime and believes that it is a mutual love relationship that started after the girl turned fifteen.
Halmstad District Court judges the girl to be credible and the man is sentenced to five years in prison for gross sexual abuse of children and four cases of rape against children. He will also pay SEK 200,000 in damages to the girl and the man may remain detained until the verdict gains legal force.
