There is no dispute about the importance of sleep for our health, but to a moderate extent, sleep for a long time more than nine hours a day has a serious impact on health, as the risk of human heart attack increased by 34%, and lack of sleep is also without risks.

Sleep has countless benefits for body health and activity.

The study, published recently in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, showed that long sleep is not as good for health as previously thought, and the researchers found a link between the amount of "wrong" sleep and an increased risk of heart attack.

The study involved 461,000 people between the ages of 40 and 69 who had never had a heart attack before. For seven years, researchers tracked their genetic information, sleep habits and medical records.

The results were really surprising. They found that participants who slept during the trial for less than six hours a night were 20 percent more likely to have a heart attack.

However, participants who slept more than nine hours a night were at a higher risk of having a heart attack (34%).

For those with higher genetic susceptibility to heart attacks, the study found that sleeping between six hours and nine hours reduces the risk of fatal attacks by up to 18%.

"It is good news to discover that sleep can reduce the risk of a heart attack, as well as healthy nutrition and other healthy habits," said Eyas Daglas, a study co-author.

The authors hope that their study will open the eyes of doctors, health authorities and the general public to the close relationship between heart health and sleep. "As with exercise and healthy nutrition, sleeping right can reduce the risk of heart disease," the authors say.
