The resources to support the family within the maneuver, "are substantial - added Gualtieri - and should not be confused with actions to reduce the work wedge and will be defined in an organic framework by the government in the more specific presentation of the maneuver and with a close dialogue with the Parliament ".
Tax pressure and SME support
"With regard to the tax burden, we have a trend that would bring it from 41.9% to 42.6%. We want to reduce it not only with respect to the trend but also with respect to the pressure of 2019", the minister specified. Furthermore, the maneuver contains measures in favor of the SMEs: "We will finance the guarantee fund for small and medium-sized enterprises with over two billion in the three-year period," said the Economy Minister.
Countering evasion with technology
"With regard to the so-called handcuffs to evaders, no such measures are being studied. We are engaged in the preparation of interventions that will allow a more effective fight against evasion and fraud, starting from the exploitation of existing technologies," said Roberto Gualtieri, during his hearing.
On citizenship income "we are working to strengthen the fight against fraud", said Economy Minister on policy lines. It also denies the rumors about cash payments "We are not going to tax cash, it's a fake news". While on the incremental flat tax, "it is a legitimate proposition but it does not correspond to the orientation of the government that considers the progressiveness of taxes a principle to be maintained".
