What is the origin of the fire Lubrizol factory in Rouen? This is the question to be answered by the field survey that began this Tuesday. Investigations that begin nearly fifteen days after the disaster.

If the survey did not start earlier, it is because of the persistence of several hot spots on the sites affected by the fire. The health unit of the Paris prosecutor's office, in charge of the investigation, also specifies that no less than 13 investigators of the national gendarmerie will be mobilized. Among them, there are six fire experts.

Specialists in the fight against environmental pollution will also be dispatched to the scene. These field operations are expected to last several days. The goal is to find the starting area of the fire and explain its trigger.

Last week, Secretary of State for the Interior Laurent Nunez explained that no track, accidental or criminal, could be excluded.

In addition, the company Lubrizol, relying on video surveillance images of its warehouses gone up in smoke estimates that the fire has probably started outside of its site. The field investigation will therefore have to shed light on the first minutes of the incident.

Finally, 39 hearings have already been carried out by the judicial police and several tens of video surveillance tapes are being analyzed.
