In total, the commission received 824 sets of documents.

It is noted that 424 people were nominated by political parties, 272 - by collecting signatures, 128 - by labor collectives. According to the CEC, a number of applicants used more than one way to nominate.

Verification of submitted documents and registration will continue until October 17 inclusive.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko warned officials that attempts should not be made to “undermine the country” during the parliamentary elections.
