- The whole period has been colder, but if we only look at the last weekend, the places that stand out most in southern and western Sweden have been up to ten degrees colder than we usually have this year, says SVT's meteorologist Åsa Rasmussen.

How unusual is that?

- It is simply unusual, perhaps every ten or fifteen years, but not quite easy to say.

Does this cold affect the weather that is coming afterwards?

- No, it won't affect that much. The northern air stream we had will now be pushed away and instead we will receive rain that presses. It will be rainier and unstable, says Åsa Rasmussen.
