A Fujairah misdemeanor court has sentenced Khaliji to a one-year suspended prison sentence for assaulting body integrity after he assaulted a national ambulance man while on duty.
The wife of the defendant was ill. He called the national ambulance number, which went immediately to the house, when the ambulance team began to take her to the hospital. He went to the hospital and handed over to him after taking the necessary measures, but the defendant insisted that his wife be taken down, and forcibly returned to the house.
The victim told the court: “I was assigned to go to the defendant's house because of an emergency. The crew and I went through the ambulance. The injured person was taken inside the car. She attacks me and takes the patient from inside the car to bring her home. ''
The victim immediately contacted the police to report the incident and opened an investigation to hold the assailant accountable for his disability and the injury of the ambulance team.
