Social dumping has become an increasing problem in Kramfors and Sollefteå. Councilor Jan Sahlén mentioned the problem in an interview in SVT last week and now Sollefteå municipality writes about the phenomenon: "... some municipalities relocate citizens who are in need of social services to other municipalities and thus avoid the cost of the efforts".

According to P4 Västernorrland, the municipality of Kramfors has analyzed immigrants and has come to more than fifty cases similar to social dumping. Sollefteå municipality is not as affected, but just this week two families came this way, says Ann-Katrin Lundin, social manager in Sollefteå.

Meeting with landlords

Sollefteå municipality writes on its website that you will soon have a meeting with the municipality's landlords.

- We want to communicate with the landlords that they check that the person has the opportunity to pay the rent and that they are not cheated up here, says Ann-Katrin Lundin.

- The families are told that it is nice and nice for the children to grow up here, but they have no choice, either you move here or you become homeless.

Get no answers

Have you had contact with the municipalities they come from and what answers do you get from them?

- Yes we have contacted ... I do not know what to say ... yes, we do not get the answer we want.

- You are very welcome to move here, but you have to come here because you want and not because you are forced to, says Ann-Katrin Lundin.
