Hundreds of people are currently blocking the area of Nuevos Ministerios in Madrid, according to Ecologists in Action . This action is part of the calendar of peaceful citizen mobilizations proposed by environmental organizations around the world that have called for demonstrations on Monday in Madrid, London, Buenos Aires, New York, Auckland, Paris, Berlin, Prague or Melbourne.
The concentrates claim "democracy for the Earth, that is, an urgent defense of our common goods, necessary for life."
There are two fronts of action. On the one hand several hundreds of activists have occupied a bridge on Joaquin Costa Street , which rises above the Paseo de la Castellana, in the vicinity of Nuevos Ministerios. Nearby, hundreds of other activists have improvised a camp in front of the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
