Efforts are being made to create more space in Hallstahammar's schools. From 2016 when the Park School was redone and until 2021 when the new Näslund School is planned to be completed, a total of SEK 190 million is invested, the municipality figures show.

SVT has previously reported on some of the different steps, such as when the low and middle school students moved into Lindboskolan.

The clip contains all the tours and price tags in the school carousel in 2016-2021.

Relocations and extensions along the way have received both rice and praise from, among others, parents. And neither the expansion of the Tunbos school nor the upcoming construction of the new Näslund will be the last trip, politicians believe.

Looking at Fredhemskolan

Population growth and positive migration mean that the plans that existed for the old Fredhem School have had to change.

- There we had a thought of converting it to preschool, but if this development continues with the number of inhabitants and move in then we must probably do a poodle on it and look at maintaining that school, says Kjell Ivemyr (S), chairman of the child and education board.

Important going forward, says Moderates group leader Jenny Landernäs, is that the municipality will be better at advance planning.

- School carousel is a very good word in this context, because you have moved classes from one place to the other, and sometimes with very short notice and low foresight. That is what made it feel a little chaotic, she says.
