The preliminary investigation is closed because the police cannot prove that any individual has committed a crime. "The matter must be handled between parties," the decision states.
- We know that mistakes have been committed but how we proceed, I cannot answer, I have to talk to the city's lawyers, says the Traffic Mayor Daniel Helldén (MP) when he is told about the closure of SVT Stockholm.
SVT Stockholm has asked for access to the contractors, but the traffic office has rejected our request on the grounds that negotiations are still ongoing - five months after completion of the audit - and that it would damage the process if the negotiations became public.
According to the audit, the city reviewed at least 114 cases in nine areas where the whites may become relevant. The compilation would be completed as early as May 2019, but the city has not yet published a single fine.
