The heavy rains, which fell for two hours continuously, led to the flow of valleys and reefs in the mountainous areas, causing paralysis in traffic, such as the area of ​​Wadi Saham and Farfar, in addition to the accumulation of water in the roundabouts and main and secondary streets and residential areas. It is 53.4 mm in the port of Fujairah, 42.6 mm in the city of Khorfakkan, 36 mm in Masafi, in the city of Dibba Fujairah 32.6 mm, while the area against us recorded 31.8 mm.

The heavy rains led to the closure of the popular market in Fujairah, the fall of umbrellas and external doors of some government institutions and houses, in addition to uprooting a number of trees, and flying barriers used in construction operations, especially in road projects currently being implemented in Fujairah, and the fall of billboards in the main streets, Paintings of some shops, and the death of a number of sheep on farms in mountainous areas, while confined to physical damage without causing casualties.

For his part, the Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, Major-General Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanem, that the rains witnessed in the emirate, caused material damage in many sites, due to the wind, was the uprooting of trees and billboards in addition to damage to shops in the popular markets Fujairah, stressing that the damage did not result in any injuries or deaths.

The Director General of Fujairah Municipality, Eng. Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, confirmed that his department has published since the early morning hours yesterday, its teams and mechanisms dedicated to the withdrawal of accumulated rain water to deal immediately with all the damage caused by the rains, pointing out that the municipal teams were able to remove trees The municipality succeeded in coordination with the Public Works Department in withdrawing the water accumulated in the streets and roundabouts.
