05 October 201923.00 Portugal to vote for the renewal of the 230 seats of the Parliament. A vote that is looming as a tug-of-war between the outgoing premier, the socialist Antonio Costa, and Rui Rio, leader of the Social-Democratic Party (Psd) from 2018. The Socialist Party, favored in the polls, has been accredited between 36.5% and 38% of the votes, which would give Costa a maximum of 114 deputies, two less than the absolute majority. It is the second time in the last 20 years that the legislature has concluded in Portugal with its natural term of 4 years.
