It all started in 2008 when Ingeborg Koivusaari in Finland participated in their equivalent of the Qvinno match. The event is a hunting test for the dog breed Stövare with female owners or co-owners. The idea is that the dog should look for hare or fox and be judged based on his efforts.

Once back in Sweden, Ingeborg himself wanted to start a similar arrangement. However, the response from the board of Västerbotten County Stövarklubb was not overwhelming.

- But after a little persuasion, I would have the chance to try for a year if the Swedish Stövarklubben gives his permission.

And today, ten years later, the hunting test is Sweden's second largest.

- There are fantastic women from all over the country participating, some have traveled 80 km to participate, says Ingeborg Koivusaari.

Tough start to this year's hunting test

The first day of the hunting test is completed on Saturday afternoon and Ingeborg Koivusaari got off to a good start with the dog Lintu.

- There will probably be no placement this weekend. Unfortunately, she found traces of two small hares and they are very difficult to find as they smell less than larger hares.

But Ingeborg and Lintu don't blame it.

- We both think it's so fun it doesn't matter. The fact that we have fun is the main thing.

On Saturday evening, the women will enjoy an anniversary dinner and on Sunday the last race day will be held.
