After the fall of the "coalition of commanders" this summer is the big day in Kosovo. Some 1.9 million voters are called to the polls this Sunday for legislative elections on which the wind of change is blowing. One hundred and twenty seats of deputies are at stake, of which 20 are reserved for the national minorities.

In a country that is among the poorest in Europe, with a GDP per capita is just over 3,000 euros and where only the exodus has allowed to delay the social explosion, the election campaign has avoided the everlasting patriotic speeches to focus on fundamentals: the fight against unemployment and corruption, access to education and care.

Friday evening, in the center of the capital Pristina, they were thus several thousand to attend the last big campaign meeting of the party Self-determination. With its slogan "Erdhi dita" ("The day has come"), the leftist sovereignist movement is on the rise. In the crowd, Shpend relies on his charismatic leader, Albin Kurti, to give him back a job and hope. " I have been unemployed for five years already. I do not work ... I'm 32 years old, I have diplomas, but what can I expect when there are no jobs here ? I see no future with the parties that have ruled the country . "

After 20 years of rule, President Thaci's Democratic Party of Kosovo is not a favorite. The same is true for Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's Alliance for Kosovo. Exasperation, on the other hand, could benefit opposition groups. Self-determination, but also the Democratic League of Kosovo, first in the polls, led by Vjosa Osmani, who presents himself as the candidate "clean hands". To end violence, nepotism and corruption.
