A British summer has nothing to do with Britain, but it means that it is nice and warm weather around Birgitta Day on 7 October.

Will there be any British summer this year?

- There are quite good sun chances over the weekend, but it will be cold, too cold to be called British summer. At the beginning of next week, the high pressure will disappear, and it will be cloudy, says Nils Holmqvist.

"Can even get some snow in Svealand"

The rest of the week is expected to be colder.

- There is a low pressure on the southern runway, so it can even be a little snow in Svealand. Quite far from a British summer actually.

Nils describes the British summer that many experienced in 2018 as epic.

- It was record-breaking for almost a week after Birgitta Day. It became 20 degrees in several places. I had a great time, was on Visingsö, had a picnic and rode a tandem bike.

What can you do instead this year?

- You can stay indoors and cook soup. Maybe play some video games, says Nils Holmqvist.
