The Director General of Sharjah Municipality and Chairman of the Rain Emergency Committee, Thabet Salem Al-Tarifi, said that the weather situation in the emirate is a promising start to the season, so the Municipality was keen to develop the necessary and emergency plans to deal with weather fluctuations with the approach of winter.

For his part, Assistant Director-General of the Agriculture and Environment Sector, Engineer Hassan Altafak, explained that some areas in the city experienced heavy rains, and the field committee set plans and measures to reduce the concentration of rain, and ensure the readiness of the rain water network, where the Department of Agriculture and Parks dealt with emergency reports , And remove some trees broken by the wind.

Khalid bin Falah Al Suwaidi, Assistant General Manager of Customer Service Sector, said that more than 30 reservoirs were provided to draw water collected in different areas, focusing on the vital ones, such as the university city, and all water collections were controlled and pumped.
