LRF submitted a plea on Thursday last week that the county administrative board itself will decide on a hunting hunt for the wolf couple in Långbogenreviret. In their request, they pointed out that all the criteria were met, including that there were three attacks on tambourines from the same wolf or wolves. The first in May, the second in August and the last in September.

"We are doing this because many affected farmers are afraid to apply for protection hunting themselves because they feel that they can end up with negative things afterwards," says Peter Borring, LRF's chairman in Östergötland.

predators Inventory

At the County Administrative Board in Östergötland this week, they have decided to wait to make a decision on shelter hunting in anticipation of what the predator inventory that started on Tuesday will provide.

- We want to know how many puppies are involved before we proceed with the question of hunting for protection, says Mia Kjällander, predator handler at the County Administrative Board in Östergötland.

To obtain an answer to this question, wolf droplets are collected and then analyzed. The analysis is expected to be completed no earlier than one month.
