Last day this Friday, October 4th of the state visit of President Muhammadu Buhari in South Africa. On Thursday, he met his South African counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa. The two men wanted to relax relations between the two giants of the continent. They both wanted to reassure their citizens after the wave of xenophobic attacks in Johannesburg last month, and also strengthen the economic ties between the two countries. Today, Muhammadu Buhari met with members of the Nigerian diaspora of South Africa to calm their concerns.

One wondered if Muhammadu Buhari would ask for compensation to compensate Nigerian citizens in South Africa. He did not mention the subject either to President Ramaphosa or to the diaspora.

Obinna Obiorah was able to meet the president: " The president just encouraged Nigerians to be good ambassadors for Nigeria in South Africa, to give a good image of our country. He recalled that we must come together as Africans . "

The president met with thirty official representatives on the sly. Others did not have that chance. As Babaturde Abeniga, who is waiting in front of the building, and demands the payment of compensation : " He should have asked. Because the South African government should be able to compensate all foreigners who have lost their business. It's not our fault that we were robbed! Everyone must be protected in this country .

Adedapo Adesani is also very dissatisfied with the inaction of the two presidents: " There was no justice. I do not see any legal proceedings against the criminals who stole and assaulted us. And our government is not able to represent us . "

Muhammadu Buhari reiterated that a national commission of Nigerians from abroad to protect the diasporas had been set up recently.
