The camp of Moria located on the island of Lesbos is totally saturated. More than 13,000 people congregate in what is the largest camp in Europe, while its capacity is only 3,000 places. Afghans account for nearly 80% of recent arrivals.

The fortune tent of the Sahar family, an assumed name, adjoins a hill of nauseating waste. The 15-year-old was part of the Afghan National Basketball Team.

" We left our country for a better life and a better future and here we are, in Greece, at the Moria camp. As you can see, our life is not brilliant. From 5am, we end up waiting in line. The tail for the food, the tail for the doctors, the tail for everything. We have a lot of problems. "

Samir, in his forties, is a singer and has just arrived less than a week ago. This is the second time that he has tried Afghanistan's journey to Europe. " I am very tense and worried because I have no idea how long I will stay in this camp. Many people have been here for a year or more. And it's not a life to stay a year here. "

While waiting for better days far from the camp of Moria, the man who dreams of joining Athens sings a song full of melancholy.

While a few dozen meters away, another family of Afghans is busy kneading bread. A big round traditional bread, which sells here fifty cents.
