His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, concluded his official visit to Washington, DC

During the visit, he met with President Donald Trump's chief adviser, Jared Kushner, and Hugh Dogan, presidential envoy for hostage affairs, as well as senior advisers to US senators.

He was accompanied by UAE Ambassador to the United States Yousef Manea Al Otaiba.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US officials stressed the importance of continued cooperation between the UAE and the United States to promote common interests and combat extremism and terrorism and work to build a bright future for the Middle East region.

"The UAE is committed to working with the United States to meet pressing global challenges, ensure the stability of the region and the world and take advantage of all opportunities to achieve prosperity in both countries," said Sheikh Abdullah.

He also met at the US Capitol with a group of Senate advisors on the armed forces and foreign relations committees.

During the meetings, he noted the existing cooperation between the two countries in the security and economic fields.

Earlier this week, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and a number of senior officials in the US government.
