France coach Jacques Brunel decided on Thursday to appoint Baptiste Serin instead of Antoine Dupont to form the hinge with Romain Ntamack on Sunday in Kumamoto (South Japan) in the World Cup against Tonga, in front of which Captain Guilhem Guirado will not start.
Serin made an excellent start on Wednesday against the United States (33-9) in Fukuoka, including the fourth try tricolor. Four regular players against the Americans will be Sunday again: the hooker Camille Chat, favorite in Guirado, the second line Paul Gabrillagues, the winger Alivereti Raka and the center Sofiane Guitoune. Pillar Jefferson Poirot will be captain. Substitutes will be known on Friday.
