It was in June that the two women smoked together at Melkertorget. A previously chilly relationship led to a major rift in which mobile phones were broken and ear files were distributed.

When the 18-year-old ran to his car to escape the fight, the 19-year-old followed and broke one side mirror with a wooden plank. After that, she turned her back and started to leave. Then she heard someone say "run" and when she looked back she saw that the 18-year-old was gasping and driving the car towards her. She tried to run away as fast as she could but couldn't get away.

According to the forensic doctor, the 19-year-old suffered such severe injuries that there was a danger to her life. She suffered, among other things, skeletal injuries, injuries to the lung and a deep wound injury to her right forearm.

Sentenced to prison

Thus, the 18-year-old is now being convicted of serious abuse. The woman herself refuses, but in the district court's opinion, it is beyond reasonable doubt that she did it consciously.

The prosecutor had pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the first place, but according to Västmanland District Court, it has not been proven that the woman was overtaken, but rather driven at a relatively low speed because the acceleration distance must have been short. Therefore, the district court believes that the woman had no intention of killing.

There is also no indication that the 18-year-old had planned the event. The investigation rather indicates that it was a hasty filing after she was provoked. Therefore, the woman is convicted of serious abuse.

Will have to pay damages

During the trial, the 18-year-old had to undergo a forensic psychiatric examination. It showed that she can be sentenced to prison because she does not suffer from any serious mental disorder.

In addition to the 18-year-old being sentenced to prison for one year and nine months, she must also pay compensation of SEK 40,000 to the 19-year-old.

The 19-year-old woman is also convicted as she smashed a side mirror on the car before she was hit. She is sentenced to conditional sentence and daily fines for damages.
