According to TASS, the deputies noted that "to clarify the issue of closing the airspace above and around eastern Ukraine, a further study of the facts is necessary."

In this regard, they called on the Dutch government to consider possible options “to conduct such a further study of the facts and report on the results of the lower house of parliament”.

At the same time, Dutch Foreign Minister Steph Blok said that the government “legally does not see a reason for this,” but did not oppose considering opportunities to study these facts.

It is noted that the written proposal was supported by all parties that are members of the coalition government, as well as four major opposition parties of the country.

In July, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko spoke about consultations with the Netherlands on MH17.

According to him, the negotiations are confidential by agreement of the parties.
