The Ministry of State for Military Production has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China's SSE and Marathon International Technology Co., Ltd. to establish a factory to produce electric car charging stations.

While Sisi asserts that the military economy does not exceed 3% of the domestic economy, unofficial estimates put it more than 50%.

The Egyptian army oversees some 2,300 projects, employing five million civil servants in all disciplines, the military spokesman said earlier.
