He noted that many important parameters depend on the efficiency and quality of work in the healthcare sector, including the life expectancy of people, demography and the health of the nation in a broad sense.
“We will certainly continue discussion of these topics with regional leaders, including at a meeting of the State Council specially organized at the end of October this year,” he said.
Putin also said that the surcharges of health workers should not decrease when raising the share of salary.
“It is important that when raising the share of the salary, compensation payments and other surcharges should not be reduced, so that this focus does not happen,” the head of state emphasized.
At the last meeting, the head of the Ministry of Health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova said that it would take at least two years to switch to a new industry system for doctors' remuneration.
