UAE astronaut Hazza Al-Mansouri called on the competent authorities in the educational process in the UAE, especially the Ministry of Education, to teach space to students, and to provide curricula for them with materials dealing with the history of space, and how other countries to reach this stage of progress and development to reach space, Scientific experiments aboard the International Space Station, established by a number of States in 1998.

He said that the UAE has made great achievements at all levels, and therefore needs to support curricula with topics that motivate students to study space and research in science, stressing the need to keep abreast of developments in all fields, especially scientific, technical and space.

This came in response to a question to «Emirates Today», asked by the editor of the newspaper, colleague Sami Al-Riyami, during a direct contact with Mansouri, about the need for the State courses and curricula to support the program of the UAE astronauts.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center organized a direct contact between the editors of local newspapers and UAE astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri.

Al-Mansouri added that «the availability of curricula dealing with space issues and topics, increases the desire and passion of students, and increases their culture about the universe and its components».

He pointed out that he is a graduate of a public school in the Liwa area, pointing out that the teachers who studied in various stages of education, were highly competent, and was able to learn a lot from them, thanking them for their efforts.

In response to a question from Al-Bayan newspaper editor-in-chief, Mona Boussamra, about the lessons of his trip to the International Space Station and what he would say to the future astronaut, Mansouri said he was proud to represent the UAE and the Arab world as the first Emirati and Arab astronauts on board. It is a great responsibility, and 'Zayed children are competent for this responsibility', pointing out that the environment on board the station is completely different from the environment of the earth, especially living conditions, where there is almost zero gravity on the station, and training is arduous, so astronauts need more time to carry out tasks Targeted on the station.

Asked about the treatment of astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for the first Emirati and Arab astronauts to arrive at the station, Al-Mansouri said: “Since the first day I entered the station, all astronauts on board surrounded me with a warm welcome. Al-Mansouri answered a question by Gulf News Editor-in-Chief Mustafa Al-Zarouni about the number of experiments he conducted on board the station, that he conducted 16 scientific experiments, including experiments on the vital functions of the body, and the distribution of food, and participated with other astronauts in conducting experiments, all We will pass it on to future generations.

The return of Hazza in cinemas

The National Media Council announced that the return of UAE astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri from the International Space Station will be broadcast live today in 16 cinemas from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, in Abu Dhabi (3 cinemas) and Al Ain (two houses), Dubai (6 floors), Sharjah City Center Cinemas, Ajman (Ajman City Center), Ras Al Khaimah (Dharan), Fujairah (City Center Fujairah).
