The wage differences between women's and men's wages are decreasing, according to preliminary statistics from Statistics Sweden. From 2000 to 2018, women's incomes have increased most in Stockholm, Solna and in the municipality of Vaxholm. Here, women's wages increased by 48 percent.

In Södertälje municipality, the increase was at least 21 per cent.

Last year, the median income for women was SEK 285,848 and SEK 356 144 for men in Stockholm County.
